I am looking to get a BBL in the near future. My hips are extremely flat; straight up and down. I obviously want a more hourglass figure but I am worried about looking unnatural since my hips are so flat. Will fat injected into my hips make me look odd? I am worried since i have no hip shape to expand, I really have no shape to follow. I am worried about getting those bubbly, unnatural hips that are seen in some BBLS. What do I ask for at my consultation to prevent this?
Answer: BBL Yes, fat can be injected into the hips even if your natural shape is flat, but we need to see you for a proper assessment. This allows us to evaluate your bone structure, fat availability, and tissue elasticity to determine what’s safely achievable. Our goal is to create a balanced, natural-looking silhouette by enhancing the hips in harmony with your waist and overall proportions. We take a conservative, tailored approach to avoid overfilling or creating an unnatural contour. With precise planning, even subtle volume can make a significant difference.

Answer: Hip Dips Hello and thank you for your question! Hip dips are a great area to make a nice difference with fat grafting. The combined effect of liposuction on the flanks and lower back to subtract a convex area and transferring fat to a flat/concave area will help achieve a natural hour glass figure that can fit your frame. The next best step would in an person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon. Communicating your concerns, asking your questions, taking a look at before and after photos are all great ways to feel confident about your surgery. Thank you again and good luck on your journey!

Answer: BBL for Hip Contour Thank you for your question. A BBL can enhance the shape of your hips and create a more contoured, natural-looking hourglass figure, even if you currently have flat hips. A skilled surgeon will shape your hips to blend seamlessly with your waist and thighs. During an in-person consultation, you can discuss whether you need fat placed specifically in the hip dip area or if a more extensive augmentation is necessary to achieve smooth, feminine curves. It's important to request a strategic fat transfer that follows your natural bone structure instead of creating an unnatural "bubbly" shape. Additionally, bringing pictures of results you like (as well as examples you don’t prefer) can help ensure that you and your surgeon have the same vision for your procedure.

Answer: BBL for flat hbips Thank you for your query. We often do augmentation of the hips along with BBL and also correct the “hip dips”. The best way to avoid bubbly, overdone hips is to go to an experienced Plastic surgeon, check his/her previous before and after pictures and discuss your concerns. All the best!

Answer: Getting natural hips from a BBL A natural look like the one you seek should always be the goal of plastic surgery. A skilled plastic surgeon balances both the science and art of surgery to provide you with the shape and contour that Mother Nature perhaps did not. Getting the results you want starts with an honest conversation with an experienced surgeon. Express your concerns and ask for a realistic overview of the results you can expect and how best to get them. Ask to see any available before-and-after photos of the doctor’s work on other patients with flatter hips, as well. Your surgeon may recommend taking a conservative approach in your hips, combining dermal fillers with your BBL to fill out your shape. Many fillers are temporary, and HA fillers are reversible. This approach may give you a “try before you buy” option, allowing you to see what your hips can look like before making any permanent surgical changes.
