Hello and Great Question. I appreciate the time you are spending researching this procedure. My name is Dr. Matthew J. Nykiel. I am a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, a Fellowship Trained Cosmetic Surgeon, and a Butt Augmentation Specialist.Yes, we do it all the time! Great results, very powerful in making an hour glass. The recovery is more difficult since you can't lay down on your back or stomach. I would recommend a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in procedures.I hope that helps! Best of Luck!Matthew J. Provided that you are in good health you can absolutely combine these two procedures. I have many patients in my practice who have had these procedures performed at the same time and gone on to have excellent results! I recommend a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who can help determine which combination of procedures will help you reach your goals. Best of luck!
Getting both procedures done at the same time is possible but would result in a difficult recovery period.
I prefer to do the BBL at a separate time from a breast augmentation because the ideal recovery positions are different. After a BBL, I recommend laying on your tummy whereas after a breast augmentation I have patients sleep on their back. Therefore I stage these two procedures.
Yes these two procedures can be done at the same time, an in-person consultation would be best for a detailed exam and evaluation.Always see a board certified PS.
To be successful BBL requires careful post-operative care. I ask patients no to put any pressure on the fat transfer for at least 2 weeks. This requires not sitting, and laying on belly side or on the sides and not on the back. With breast augmentation I do not want any pressure on the breasts for at least 6 weeks. Therefore it is not a good surgery to combine with BBL. Abdominoplasty can be combined but require is more difficult.
Thank you for your question. For safety reasons, to be a good candidate for the procedures you want at the same time, your labs and cardiovascular preoperative evaluation must be optimal. Therefore, you must be a healthy person, within an appropriate BMI.Respectfully,Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-
Dear SDmama,Some plastic surgeons may want to split this into two operations depending on the time needed. Its best to see a board-certified plastic surgeon to determine your options and whether it would take too long, more than 4 hours, to do all.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Thank you for your question. This is a common question and combination procedure. With my patients they can sit and lay down right after the procedure to having a breast augmentation at the same time is not a problem. Be sure to see a board certified plastic surgeon for an in person consultation to discuss your goals. Hope this helps,Dr. German Newall
Hi, After BBL the patients are told to lay down in prone postition (or at most partially on their sides) that is why it would be wise to divide these surgeries. But since many patients request the BA-BBL combo we usually use 2 silicone cushions over which we also put another pillow, one is placed above the buttock (to the lower back), the other one placed under the buttock (to the upper thigh) to keep the BBL zone free and away from weight compression. But i must warn that it is not very comfortable.Best wishes,
Brazilian Butt Lift recovery time is dependent on how the patient’s body reacts to the procedure. Patients usually return to work after a week but you should not sit without the use of cushions for at least two weeks and you must wear a compression garment for several weeks after the procedure. ...
A Brazilian Butt Lift starts at 6,500, and varies depending on the number of areas treated, treatment length, and complexity of the procedure.
