Plastic surgery to neck post ACDF?

I am scheduled for acdf Sept 18 ( I am in excellent health-surgery is d/t MVA) I had been planning to have plastic surgery for "turkey neck" will this surgery be possible after acdf.

I have performed many Neck lifts after neck surgery for spine issues, thyroid excision and parotid tutor surgery. See a board certified ASAPS plastic surgeon in consultation. Your neck can be fixed with a facelift including SMAS elevation. Good luck...

In our practice last 25 years, we have performed many  Facelifts on patients who have had anterior approach to spinal fusion. When addressing that area of the neck, it is important to release the scar tissue from  the underside of the incision so that  the skin can re-drape smoothly.  It's probably best with at least six months between the two procedures. We perform a high-SMAS lower face and neck lift which accomplishes tightening loose facial and neck skin, lifting the jowls, tightening loose facial neck muscles,  removing the fatty deposits above and below the platysma  muscle in the neck and a platysma plasty. this accomplishes removing" the turkey neck". Yes, you will still be able to have neck rejuvenation surgery after your cervical spine surgery. Be sure to speak with your plastic surgeon about the neck procedure.
