I had a NL 3 weeks ago, I know it is still early on in recovery. My neck has more wrinkles than before in the middle and under the chin near the throat. It is crepey and loose. My neck looks 60 instead of 48. I was hoping that it would be tight and refreshed, but it is not. I am still quite swollen under the chin. Is this wrinkling normal? Will it get better? will I have another surgery? I did not have a FL, no incisions behind the ears, only incision under chin. Platysma bands tightened.
Answer: Neck Lines / Tech Neck / Neck Wrinkles -- Soft Fillers (Belotero) in combination w/ Lasers and Microneedling/PRP "Injecting soft fillers like Belotero in this area can reduce lines, wrinkles and folds as well as improve skin texture with long-term collagen production. Fillers are being used more frequently to contour and lift rather than solely line fill. Of course, fillers are best used in combination with lasers and microneedling with PRP to get the optimal outcome. I suggest getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist to create an individualized treatment plan that works for you. Best, Dr. Emer"

Answer: Neck Wrinkled After Neck Lift It is too soon to determine if a #revision is necessary. Your incisions will go through many changes before seeing the final result of your procedure. Swelling will also continue to diminish. Thus, you must be patient. The #scars from a #neck lift mature within six to twelve months from the surgery date. It is during this time that the rejuvenating effects of the procedure will become apparent and the real result will be seen. Typically, it's best to wait 6 to 12 months depending on the reason for #revision. As with all #cosmetic surgery, results will be rewarding if expectations are realistic. With any surgical #procedure and #revision, there are some risks of unhappy outcome or other complications which your surgeon should discuss with you during your consultation. Your procedure should always be performed by a #Plastic Surgeon who is board-certified and has a great deal of experience specializing in cosmetic #surgery. You will then greatly improve your chances of getting the result you desire, and, without the need for additional revision surgery. If during your healing, you have any concerns, it is suggested to call your board-certified surgeon or their medical staff and discuss those #concerns.

Answer: There is no single set of procedures that constitute a neck lift. If you are dissatisfied with the results of your surgery, you can discuss the outcome with your surgeon. You are also free to seek second opinions regarding your result and concerns. That might be reassuring or confirm that there is indeed an issue with your results. Without a personal assessment of your concerns including a detailed physical examination, it is difficult to be more definitive.
