Pain swelling and bruising 2 weeks after breast augmentation, should I go to the ER?

I just had my surgery two weeks ago one breast is swollen and started brusing yesterday and now is 75% bruising all over the breast to my insesion on the side of my body to my back and i have throbbing pain what does this mean and should i go to the ER?

Thank you for sharing your question.  Your first step should be to always reach out to your surgeon for advice and an in-person examination.  If you are unable to reach them then I would advocate going to the ER as it sounds as if you have developed a hematoma.

It is not normal to develop new bruising and swelling.  You should be seen sooner than later by your Plastic Surgeon.  Best of luck to you.

Developing new bruising, swelling and pain after two weeks is not expected and could represent a problem such as bleeding/hematoma in the implant pocket. I recommend that you be seen by a Plastic Surgeon as soon as possible to determine what is going on.All the best

You should contact your plastic surgeon immediately to be evaluated. You may have a hematoma (blood collection).

Call  your surgeon immediately. If you have an expanding hematoma they would have to treat this emergently. Direction from your surgeon is most appropriate to address this issue!
