I was told after my first consult that my procedure would be boarder line difficult because of the lack of tissue I have. This has me questioning my results.
Answer: Will my implants look natural even if I have no breast tissue? Thank you for the question. Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering breast augmentation surgery ( regarding breast implant size/profile selection) is: 1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work. Sometimes, it is necessary to see a few plastic surgeons before you find one who can demonstrate significant experience achieving the types of outcomes you will be pleased with. 2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or "C cup” etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on him who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. Again, the use of computer imaging has been very helpful during the communication process, in our practice. 3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your plastic surgeon to use his/her years of experience/judgment to choose the breast implant size/profile that will best meet your goals. Again, in my practice, this decision is usually made during surgery, after the use of temporary intraoperative sizers. I hope this (and the attached link, dedicated to breast augmentation surgery concerns) helps. Best wishes.

Answer: Will my implants look natural even if I have no breast tissue? It's a good question. An in person consultation will help you receive the most helpful answers, but in general patients with less breast tissue do well with properly selected implants. During your visit your surgeon will listen to your goals and help you select an implant to help you obtain those goals. The main thing to be mindful of is that any sized implant will show more on your chest, then someone who has more breast tissue. If your goal is to maintain a natural look, then you will likely end up selecting a slightly smaller implant than you would if you had larger amounts of breast tissue. Regardless, you should have a very nice result.

Answer: Natural Breast Augmentation Difficult to comment without seeing your situation and learning more about your desired result. Several generalizations apply: First, current implants offer more flexibility and possibilities than ever before. Second, after implants are positioned, your own breast tissue, skin, muscle and connective tissue adapt, expand, and adjust to accommodate presence of the device. This process elapses over a duration of many months following your procedure during which time your result appears and feels increasingly natural. Third, the greater change you expect implants to accomplish, the less natural will be your result. Going up one or two bra cup sizes produces a more realistic outcome than increasing three or four cup sizes. The greater percentage of your final breast volume that is implant vs. your own breast tissue, the more your breast will look, feel, and behave like an implant. Still, large implants can produce beautiful sexy breasts for many women. Every situation must be considered on the basis of individual characteristics. Seek additional consultations for more information that applies to you.

Answer: "Natural Looking Breast Augmentation" Thank you for your question. This is a good question and it comes to deciding between the basic look you want to achieve after the augmentation. I tell my patients there are four basic types of looks for the augmented breast: (1) the completely natural look- no one would suspect you had augmentation. (2) the "she's really lucky or had a really good augmentation" loo (3) the "tastefully augmented" look- (4) the cartoon breast- implants are too big for your body"Natural" is little vague and subjective. I would suggest going to a site like loveyourlook and browsing the before and after gallery. You want your PS to align his aesthetic sense to yours so he/she can know what you mean by natural.

Answer: Excellent results are possible Lackof tissue is why people get breast augmentation. If the surgeon believes you will have a borderline result, then maybe you need to find a surgeon that can give you an excellent result.

Answer: Natural results Dear BoobifulIn general, how natural your results look depends on a few factors. The size and shape of implant: your rib cage and your own breast have specific dimensions. your implant should compliment these dimensions and not go beyond them. For example an implant that is too wide for your chest will show on the sides and look like a breast implant. The amount of change in size is also a factor. Going from an A to a D cup is more likely to look like an implant than a B to a C.In your case, in my opinion, you are tall, at 5'11" and can still be proportionate with large implants. At the same time 500 cc implants are likely to be a little on the broad size for your frame. When you are at your consult, communication is very important. Words like large, natural and proportionate all have different meanings to you and your surgeon. I always recommend more than one consultation so you can make a well informed decision. You should seek consultation with an experienced surgeon who is at least certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
