I just had a breast augmentation With lift 3 weeks ago some water got under my surgery tape so when I took tape off it looked like this I been putting Neosporin on and letting it dry what do I need to do to make it heel I need to see a doctor or is it infected

Thank you for your question.Your nipple does not appear to be infected. However, you do have an open wound related to partial loss of the nipple. I recommend following up with your plastic surgeon so that he or she may follow your progress and create a wound care plan. This wound should heal well, over time, with the appropriate wound care.Regards,Manish Champaneria, MD

Hi.  It looks like you have a wound separation ("dehiscence") with part of your lift.  These are usually treated with dressing changes, to get them to clean up and heal.  You do need to call your surgeon to ask about the kind of dressing they prefer, and let them see it.Your wound does not look infected.

Thank you for you question. Th nipple doesn't appear to be infected. However, you do have deep partial vs. full thickness loss of part of the areola. I would suggest the following: (1) wash the wound every day with Hibiclens (available at any drug store) (2) Bactroban ointment (Neosporin has neomycin which may actually cause redness) (3) keep it covered and most importantly go see you PS.
