You should be able to use ear plugs after 10 days, but you should check with your facial plastic surgeon. Everyone has a slightly different technique and different recommendations for after-care. I hope this helps.
Assuming your sutures were at, or behind, the tragal cartilage (the piece of cartilage one feels before entering the ear canal), it should be ok to use earplugs 24-48 hours after sutures were removed. This would also apply to individuals who use in-the-canal hearing aids. It would be advisable to be extra attentive to thorough cleaning of the earplugs after every use, but there should not be an issue using them to get your rest.Best,Doc L
Thank you for your question. Yes, wearing ear plugs will be fine. Please make sure you are getting lots of rest and sleep as is very important as part of your recovery. Happy Healing, All The Best.
So long as placing the ear plugs does not place any undue tension on your suture line, it should be fine to use them, but check with your surgeon first. Make certain that you are getting adequate rest as sleeplessness will only make recovery more challenging. Hope your recovery continues to progress well.
Yes you can use ear plugs. Getting rest is important to your recovery. There are different types of ear plugs at the drug store so just ask your surgeon what he or she recommends.
This should be fine. I recommend following up with your surgeon. To improve final results, we will often do ultherapy about 4-6 weeks after facelift to get more of an outcome. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
I think it would be fine to use ear plugs 10 days after a lower facelift. In general, it is always best to check with your particular surgeon though, because your surgeon has the most information about you and your procedure.
Hi there, thank you for this great question. Using earplugs post lower face/neck lift would not be an issue as long as it does not interfere with the sutures that your surgeon placed. If sutures were placed in the retrotragal space (behind the tragus) within the ear or close to it, earplugs would not be a good alternative at this point and your surgeon may recommend waiting for this reason. I recommend checking with your surgeon as he/she would be the best to answer this question, especially if you are not sure where all of the suture material has been placed. Your surgeon may alternatively provide you with a different sleep aide as sleep is very important to your recovery. I hope this answer helps and that you recover quickly.
You should be fine to use your ear plugs at 10 days post op. If they should feel uncomfortable or experience any pain, remove them. Follow up with your surgeon to confirm.
Yes it is normal to have swelling that will come and go after surgery. Swelling can come and go for several months after surgery but be progressively less over that time. Also you may have swelling on one side more than another side and this will come and go. If you are concerned I...
If you are planning to lose more than 5 or 10 pounds you should try to do that before your surgery, any more than that and it could affect your results. Be sure to see a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck.
You can return to light workouts about two weeks after your Mini Lift and neck lift, but nothing that requires any kind of straining, and nothing high impact. I’d recommend waiting 3 to 4 weeks before going back to weight lifting. At that point, you can’t undo your neck lift. If anything, str...
Hello and thank you for your question. A facelift uses internal sutures to lift the SMAS layer which supports the upper skin of the face. This aspect of the facelift procedure gives you the long-lasting results you want. Treating only the skin without treating the SMAS layer will give you very...
Hello and thank you for your question. I am sorry to hear of your concerns about swelling. Swelling after a neck lift that includes a fat transfer can take up to three weeks to subside and sometimes longer depending on the individual. Persistent swelling is common with fat transfer procedures...
