Everyone I know that has breast implants tell me they should've gone bigger. My doctor gave me a range of 350cc to 400cc. I'm 5'2 110lbs with an athletic build and big hips. I used to be a 32C before kids and now I'm a small 32a. I don't want to be too top heavy. Will 400cc be too big?

Answer: Breast Implant Sizing Hello,You have an anatomic capacity that needs to be minded. Going beyond that will lead to higher rates of complications and reoperations. Biodimensional measurements can give you and your surgeon an idea of what is possible. It is human nature to think bigger was possible. Its a bad idea. Go with what you see in the mirror with sizers, but within your tissue capacity.Best of luck!

Answer: Implant size Hello and thank you for your question. The size of the implant is based on your desired breast size/shape, your chest wall measurements, and soft tissue quality. This decision should be based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both you and your surgeon. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Reish, M.D. Harvard-trained plastic surgeon
