How long until I can travel back home?

Air Plane Travel-I'm traveling from Louisiana to Florida to get a BBL and lipo. How long will I have to stay in Miami until I'm able to return back to Louisiana and what steps will I have to take on my travel back to make sure nothing goes wrong with bbl being that I will be sitting for a long period of time almost 2 hours.

We recommend no pressure placed on the buttocks for at least 7days,,,no sitting for 7 days, so your travel would be limited. Would also recommend you reconsider your travel plans with the BBL, while minimally invasive in appearance a BBL is a large procedure and complications can occur, much better to be close to your surgeon if something was to arise and great results can be achieved in your local area, good luck!

Hello dear!!
Thanks for the question and provided information as well.
I recommend my patients to wait at least 10 days before flying back home, and you should not sit for more than 30 mins. every two hours, for the first 2 weeks, and always with the help of a boppy pillow. If you have any concerns, I suggest you follow up close with your plastic surgeon.

Most plastic surgeons encourage their patients to not sit on the treated area after a Brazilian butt lift.You can often avoid putting direct pressure on the treated area by sitting on a pillow putting most of the weight on the back of the flies as opposed to the treated area.The main reason we recommend patients avoid or minimize sitting after the procedure is to not disrupt the new blood supply and that's being established intonthr grafted tissue.This process of reestablishing blood supply to the grafted tissue called neovascularization happens between the second and continues for several weeks after that.In my opinion excessive pressure or excessive movement are the most damaging between the third and 10th day. It's generally a good idea to stay local for surgical procedures.Many times star little things that need to be addressed after the procedure.It's nice to be able to get a hold of your doctor and be seen within hours or days as opposed to weeks and air travel.Best,Mats Hagstrom M.D.
