The average time for these combined procedures, in the hands of a competent, board certified plastic surgeon should be 3 to 31/2 hours. You need to add 1/2 hour for induction and emergence ( being put to sleep and woken up) to the total time. Make sure you ask your surgeon this question as there are some that can take 8,10 plus hours, which is excessive.
The answer to this of course would vary from doctor to doctor and the complexity of the abdominoplasty and breast reduction, but in general, it would take about five hours.
Surgical times vary from surgeon to surgeon and type of surgery. Generally speaking in my practice we perform multiple procedures but with 2 surgeons which is very beneficial to the patient. A breast reduction and tummy tuck depending on the size of the breasts usually takes about 5 hours in my practice.
Every surgeon's efficiency in surgery is different. In my hands to perform the combination of breast reduction and tummy tuck will be about 6 hours.
Depending on your specific situation and the efficiency of the surgeon expect to be on the operating table about five hours for these two operations
Hi There, well this is a lot of surgery !if you get liposuction on your flanks + a full tummy tuck, it is already a good 3-4 h.I usually do not like to recommend lengthy procedures, since us women have more risks of blood clots ( Deep vein thrombosis ) after 4 h under anesthesia and especially after abdominoplasty ( tummy tuck ) on top of more problems with healing, infection, bad scarring.plus the recovery is hefty; for a tummy tuck, you will go home with drains, and no sports, no lifting for 6 weeks.so add a breast reduction procedure, then you may be in pain in your abdomen + breast...you should discuss all this with your surgeon, who is a board certified plastic surgeon.you should consider splitting the procedures, and start with the one problem area which bothers you the most.these surgeries are to make you look nice, not to have problems.good luck,Florence Mussat
Breast reductions take between 2 and 2.5 hours and abdominoplasties take between 1.5 and 2 hours. This would be a great question to discuss with your surgeon prior to scheduling. Other questions should include whether the surgeon uses an assistant in surgery and whether an overnight stay at the surgery center is recommended.
Hi. It will depends of the amount of tissue of fat and skin is necessary to remove, but normally these procedures take a time of four to four and a half hour. If the breast are too big is not recommended do these procedures at the same time. Never is good take more of than six hours in surgery. Dr. Marte.
Thanks for your question. It really depends on how large the volume of breast reduction planned is and what will be required for your tummy tuck. This can vary between patients based upon body frame and the amount of volume to be removed. Visit with a board certified plastic surgeon for an in-person consultation to discuss your surgery in detail.Best Wishes
Without photos or a physical exam it is impossible to say exactly. A rough estimate would be anywhere from 4-6 hours under general anesthesia. Good luck. Dean Vistnes.
Here are some helpful guidelines. Usually if a woman wears a size 36 AB bra and would like to be a C cup, which is the average size that women wear and the average size bra that is sold, she needs a volume of approximately 350 to 390 cc to make that change. This becomes less if she's wearing a...
