It is not advisable to wear a woolen beanie for about 10 days post procedure.Beanies are usually tight fitting and their use increases the chance of graft manipulation and injury.
It is best to ask your surgeon about post operative care as each doctor has their unique regimen.
Thank you for your question. Please review your recovery instructions with your board certified facial plastic surgeon.Best wishes,
Hello, thank you for your question. I have performed many FUE hair transplant procedures. You're welcome to wear a hat the day of your FUE transplant procedure, so long as the cap doesn't touch the transplanted area. In my experience, a beanie isn't the best fit. The grafts need to be protected from damage, so a baseball cap or loose fitting hat is ideal. During the first week of recovery, patients should protect grafts from being physically removed, or shifted. For more information on how best to promote natural hair growth after hair transplants contact a FUE hair transplant surgeon.
You should not wear a wollen beanie for a week after the transplant because the wool may pull out some of the grafts
