Hi, I have operated FUE transplant and post surgery has taken the utmost care in sleeping, medicines, application of medicines and cleaning. On day 11 I was cleaning the scabs with surgical spirit and cotton on recipient area, I observed that a lot of hairs came out along with scabs. I have not applied the excessive pressure but just gentle cleaning and soft rubbing with cotton. I am really worried about this.
Answer: Day 11 Post FUE - Scabs and Hair Loss Having your scalp flake away the scabs from your transplant is part of the healing process. It is also very common for hairs that have been transplanted to begin to fall out starting from within a few weeks up to 8 weeks after your FUE surgery. The reason for hair shedding is because your follicles are preparing for new growth. This is not something to worry about and after the shedding process you should expect to see new growth starting typically from between 3 and 4 months after your FUE surgery. If you do not start to notice growth after four months, I recommend you consult with your physician. I am always available for a free online consultation as well. The below article shows the general time frame and what you can expect during your recovery process.

Answer: The transplanted hairs The transplanted hairs will eventually shed weeks after your procedure. This is totally normal so do not panic. However never pull on the scabs as you may pull out the graft with it.Patients start seeing regrowth at around the 3 months mark post op up until 18 months post op. Be patient and results will come.

Answer: Scabs with Hair Hopefully your doctor told you that the hairs would fall out- this is perfectly normal and expected. They'll usually shed up until the two month mark, after which it's just about waiting for a few months for the hairs starting to regrow.

Answer: Shedding on the 11th day These hairs will sooner or later shed. They are never a problem for new hairs that start to grow. Usually, there is a lag time between the time the hairs shed (2-8 weeks) and the time the new hair grows (3-8 months). IF for any reason, there is an overlap between the two, pay no attention to it for when the new hair grows, the old hairs from the grafts that may persist beyond 8 weeks, will eventually shed
