Pain/slight lump in my underarm after Breast Augmentation. Any suggestions?

11 days ago I had a breast augmentation through the inframammery crease. I have had some pain in my underarm and have realized there is a slight lump and is painful when pressed. What could cause this and what are the chances of it going away?

To answer this with any kind of accuracy would require an in person exam. So, I would suggest that you contact your surgeon. It's probably some swelling in your lymph node in response to your surgery, but I think it's always best to err on the side of caution.

Pain in your armpit and a lump just after surgery may represent a lymph node and potentially an infection. Best to be evaluated in person.

The pain you describe is not uncommon after breast augmentation, and the lump could probably be a swollen, reactive lymph node.The lump should be checked though, so it is best to book an appointment with your surgeon.

Without an examination, I cannot specifically state what you have. However, you may have a swollen lymph node in response to surgery. It should slowly go away as you heal. Warm compresses may be helpful. I would suggest letting your surgeon examine you to make sure it is not an abscess.
