I have what I believe is a suture absess, it looks like a very tiny blister and is a bit red. Will this go away on its own or is it mandatory I get it removed? And should I put polysporin on it?

Answer: Suture abscess Hello Macykc Thank you for your question. Pictures would help in this instance, however it would be best to see your board certified plastic surgeon. They can assess you in person and help guide you to your next steps. Best regards

Answer: Suture abscess? Thanks for your question. If you recently had breast augmentation and you have an area of your incision that looks or feels different I would encourage you to follow-up with your surgeon. It could be a suture abscess or it could be something else, but best to have the surgeon who performed your operation take a look. If it is in fact a suture abscess it will probably open and drain on its own if nothing is done. I would not recommend watching anything that might be infected, especially when around a sterile implant. Best of luck!
