I nick my eyebrows with an electric facial trimmer to form eyebrow slits. I shave them frequently. Will they grow back? (Photo)

Its a time of tell , we wouldn't know exactly if the hair follicle is damaged from years of  shaving that area. Eyebrows sometimes don't grow back but usually they do. Only time will tell when you let it be be patient to see what grows in the next few month and get an answer. Best,Dr. Anil Shah MD, FACS

Shaving in the way you've described shouldn't cause any lasting damage, even if you do it repeatedly- same as with men who shaved their face regularly, it doesn't cause them to stop growing a beard. Repeated trauma to the hair follicles could reduce growth (such as plucking/waxing) but since you aren't doing that you should be fine.

In most cases you will not experience any long term hair loss by shaving this area. Most times the hair that is permanently lost in these areas is due to over plucking or waxing. This puts stress on the actual follicle, and we only permanently lose hair because of the follicle dying.
