Is my chin implant too high, too small? (Photo)

Question

I had a chin implant placed about 6 months . To start when everything was still swollen I loved it. Now that the swelling has gone I feel deformed… blonde is my before, black hair is my after as of 2 days ago. Is the implant misplaced? The wrong size? I hate my profile more than I did before surgery and don’t know what to do. My surgeon didn’t give me a clear answer just to return in a few months if I was still unhappy

Migration and malposition are 2 common problems with chin implant placement. In your post-op photo, your head is slightly elevated but the position of the implant looks high. I would recommend a CT scan to evaluate the position of the implant. If the implant is not in the correct position it can be re-positioned. I use small bone screws to ensure that the implant does not move. There is no need to wait any longer to get the position of the implant evaluated.

From the one limited photograph, it appears that your chin implant is too high, and probably not large enough since you still have a recessive chin present. You also have some fat deposits in your neck, which can be removed with liposuction. All of this can be accomplished under local anesthesia is an outpatient procedure
