Hello, I was wondering if getting breast implants could cause intercostal neuralgia? I’m having the same symptoms as Intercostal neuralgia 3 weeks after having my BA. Is this possible? Is it temporary or should I be concerned? Any solutions? My PS is overseas so I can’t go back to him :(
Answer: Pain Yes, especially this early in your healing phase, you may be experiencing this type of pain. However, it should get better. Please let your surgeon know.

Answer: Breast implant and chest pain Hello, thank you for your question. It is typical after having implants women report chest heaviness and stiffness around the chest wall. This is normal for the first 3 weeks. What wouldn't be normal is to experience this after 2 months or if you are having shortness of breath from this. I would speak to your local family doctor for a proper physical examination. For more information please refer to our website.

Answer: Inercostal neuralgia Dear Bright789070, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Chest pain after BA Hello! There are nerves under the ribs that might be rubbed by the breast implant. Typically by 3 weeks I would recommend massaging implants which sometimes helps, as well as NSAID's like Aleve. I would recommend you arrange a visit with a local plastic surgeon who is board certified. The problem with overseas surgery is no followup. I would recommend you get your operative report for your visit. Best of luck to you!
