Eyelid retraction - Would this be a simple fix by a occuloplastic surgeon? Or am I stuck with this? (Photos)

I had lower blepharoplasty revision 6 months ago. The first one was 2 years ago. I wasn't happy back then as my eye bags were still there. This time the revision has caused retraction. For day one after the revision the Dr kept saying it will improve within 3 to 6 months. His care factor was zero. I have suffered severe depression because of this and even missed a family wedding becuase of my eye. I didn't want to be in any photos. It's effected my whole life and self esteem. Would this be a simple fix by a occuloplastic surgeon? Or am I stuck with this? I have included a before and current photo. Thanks

Answer: You are not “stuck” with this but the fix is not simple.
Thank you for your inquiry! It sounds like you would be a great candidate for a lower bleph procedure as that procedure will remove fullness (under eye bags) to your lower eyelids. I recommend scheduling a consult appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon like myself so we can assess...
I prefer to do the brow lift first as it may take out some of the upper eyelid skin and decrease or eliminate the need for the upper blepharoplasty.

Based on these photos, bilateral ptosis correction with lateral canthopexy would be procedures to start with. More elaborate consultation needs to be done in person with a board certified plastic or Oculoplastic surgeon. Good luck.
