Hi I am 46 years old female Hispanic olive skin color and I weigh 180 and I'm 5'4. My question is if I have 7 year old saline implants with a second deflation on my right side I have 600cc HP and now that I have to do a revision I would like to go a little bit bigger and go with a moderate plus profile to have more of a natural look but still have cleavage ,some Drs told me that that would be to big ,I'm confused , because right now my right breast looks like it's pushed in word from the sides
Answer: Implant size Dear Persistent541516, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals. Answer: Size What you have now is a very large and heavy implant for someone only 5'4". I do not suggest going larger, but going smaller so you have less sagging potential and be more comfortable. Bigger is not always better. You might even need a lift to remove excess skin.

Answer: Implant size selection Thank you for your question. Selection of breast implant size should be a decision which is jointly made by both the patient and the surgeon. The patient should feel free to voice her preference for breast implant size while the surgeon can advise what implant sizes are appropriate for the patient, given the limitation of her tissue characteristics. I cannot comment further as there are no photos to examine. Keep in mind, that the larger the implant, that the greater the risk for tissue stretching with the passage of time. Hope that this helps.
