Hi guys, i had pretty good gain over last year with minoxidil, then i undergo BT 4 days ago, since i notice like all my gain are gone. It looks like my bald areas are only covered with new grafts.. What do you think ? Previous hairs will grow up as well ?

Answer: Shock loss Hello, shock loss usually happens when the patient gets high graft numbers. it is generally seen on the donor area (which is the back of the head in most cases). if it happened to your beard, than İ will suggest you to go see your doctor.

Answer: Four Days Post-Op Beard Transplant Shock Loss Hi chuti, thank you for posting your question on realself.com. Shock loss to the native hair happens months after the event, not days. Perhaps there is another factor occurring or perhaps there could be some confusion on identifying the transplanted hairs from the native hair. If a patient told me they lost hair 4 days after the procedure, I would feel it is the normal shedding of the transplanted hair. If you are local to your beard restoration surgeon, I would visit them. If not, perhaps send them some macro photos to review with good lighting. Bernardino Arocha, MD, FISHRS

Answer: Shock loss on beard Although I have not seen this, I would expect that it could happen. You should be patient, wait 6 months and hopefully the beard you lost will come back
