Most likely no. After the injection there is local swelling and inflammation. As the swelling resolves over 3-5 days you are left with just the filler.  It might be necessary to go back for a touch-up, but this is always better than over-filling and having to dissolve it later.

It's too soon to tell what your final results will be. It can take up to 2 weeks for final results. I would wait a full two weeks before assessing whether you need a touch-up. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Thanks for your question. How much filler and where it was injected are important parts to help piece your story together. The first couple days after filler you are going to notice both the effect from the filler as well as the effect from swelling. After the first couple days the swelling settles and you get the final effect of the actual filler. If you liked the immediate look and now feel like it's insufficient, I would suspect you need more filler than what was used for your original treatment. Warm regards.

Sexyslew69.   Sorry you are having this issue, but the problem can be the result of several possibilities. The type and amount of filler used, the exact location where it was placed and the experience of the injector. I recommend that you consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist for a second opinion.  good luck.

After having filler injected, you may have slight swelling, which when resolved, can look as if you didn't have enough filler injected.  I suggest returning your injector and asking them to evaluate the area or areas that were injected.  If you have before and after photos, bring those along for reference.  You may need a small touch up, or you may see that there is a difference based on the photos and repeat exam.

From our experience, patients love the results of the lips the first day. Sometimes this has more to do with the swelling, since the lips are very vascular they swell fast. You can always go back in for a touch up, as an injector I always try to keep a little extra in the patients syringe so they can come back and we can address and asymmetries or if they want a little more volume.

The answer is, no. Please keep in mind that immediately after injections, you will have swelling that can last 2-3 days and sometimes followed by bruising. I would recommend that you ask what dermal filler was used, and if they injected the entire 1ml syringe? It's not uncommon to have a touch-up within month. Thankyou for your question. The size of your lips after treatment is a combination of swelling and filler .I am not surprised they have gone down. it will also depend on which filler is being used for the volume. If the injector   is using juvederm volbella or volift they will not give you  much volume. You may just need more but i would suggest you just book a consult with your injector to discuss.Good luck

You may need a touch up. For a few days after filler injections you will have some swelling which goes away in a few days which exaggerates the fullness that has been achieved.  What you see after the swelling goes away is what was put in the folds. The filler is still there .
