Should I have another Tummy Tuck or get a skin graft? (photos)

i had a tummy tuck about 11 years ago and when I got back to my country 2 weeks after my surgery I slip and fell in the bathtub leaving me with a scar that I hate to see. I also used bleaching cream for my skin and the stretch marks came back. I would love to have another tummy tuck if possible if not skin graft please help. Thanks

I have not heard of staples to repair a diastasis of the rectus muscles. Purely conjecture, but if traditional sutures were not used to securely tighten the muscles (permanent or absorbable), and then it could be that your muscles were never really tightened. In that case, it may be useful to...

Though it is still early, your concerns will likely persist.  I agree that this is likely a floated belly button tuck.  If so this is very difficult to fix later with a full tummy tuck as the belly button will not survive.  If that happens a new belly button would need to be...

Thank you for your question. I would have a meeting with your surgeon, and if no options are offered, then ask for a referral to one who may have other options. You may just heal this way, and another surgeon may not have a different outcome. Genes are very powerful. I hope this helps!

Hopefully the skin graft can be removed and the edges of normal skin brought together.  Please see an experienced board certified plastic surgeon who can better advise you.

If you like the feel of the compression garment, then you should wear it. I don't believe it will ultimately change the results. I do think that local scar control strategies like tape or silicone sheeting would be helpful.

It is possible that a second procedure could remove additional stretch marks if more skin could be removed.  Please see your surgeon for the best advice.
