Can I go back on my ketogenic diet 2 weeks post mommy makeover?

It has been my experience that a ketogenic  diet is not very conducive to rapid healing required for the longer incisions of a mommy-makeover. In my practice, I advise a balanced diet, including adequate proteins and vitamins, for at least 6 weeks prior to beginning a diet such as a ketogenic diet. Best regards, Andrew Lyos MD FACS

It is typically best if patients keep a fairly stable and consistent weight following their mommy makeover so that they maintain their result.

Congrats on your MM.  Be aware that at POD 14, you will feel like a "sponge" and the scale may also reflect weight gain, which is a temporary fluid accumulation.  Agree with the other consultants that nutrition is essential for wound healing, which should be your number 1 priority.  Discuss your concerns with your PS and devise a diet and exercise regimen which will support your gains.
