I would appreciate your input, what I should expect at this point post operatively, it's been 4 months, and the left is clearly still up there. I have Sientra 285 mod+ in both. What could have possibly caused this? What could be done about it?
Answer: 4 months post op, my left hasn't dropped?! Your concerns are certainly understandable. Looking at your preoperative picture closely, it does appear that the left breast started "tighter" with a slightly higher inframammary fold. The left breast implant, as you mentioned has not "settled" into its pocket. If, utilizing measures that your plastic surgeon recommends to you, the breast implant does not settle fully, revisionary breast surgery will be necessary to improve its position and improve your overall breast symmetry. This operation will likely involve "release" of the lower breast capsule/scar tissue. Best wishes.

CONTACT NOW Answer: 4 months post op, my left hasn't dropped?! Thank you for your question and I can see your area of concern with your left breast. Depending on the style of implant used, smooth versus textured, I am not sure that your implant will drop any further. Because of your right breast appearance, I think smooth implants were used (textured implants do not tend to drop much after placement), but at 4 months most smooth implants would have finished dropping. Depending on what was done in the first operation to address the higher breast crease on your left breast, surgery may be needed in order to lower the breast pocket, and allow the implant to sit lower on your chest. Hope this helps

Answer: Sientra breast implant Typically in my patients I recommend and have them use a post op bra with a band attached that helps control the position. A breast band can be purchased to help position this implant lower. Of course an exam is necessary to make sure there are no other issues.

Answer: When one side is high there are interventions that can help you improve symmetry. Ideally, you should get this information from your surgeon. If my patient presented like you and smooth round implants were used, I would be instructing her to use a bra (no wire) with the band pulled over the top on the high side and also using downward pressure done with hands to help expedite the settling. If it doesn't budge, you will likely need a revision to release the scar tissue that is impeding the settling process.
