Hi @NNG11. I would avoid microneedling in tattooed areas and microbladed eyebrows. Microneedling will affect the pigment. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!
Microblading pigment placement is fairly superficial and is easily lifted. Any treatment that causes the skin to peel or slough off will lift that pigment, and not necessarily evenly.Skip any treatment in the area of your eyebrows to maintain the pigment. Know that placed pigment will fade on it's own simply because of natural skin cell turnover. So whether you have microneedling, microdermabrasion, chemical peels or other non light based procedures, you will very likely see some loss of that pigment over time.
Microneedling should not be done over any tattooed or microbladed eyeborws as it will effect the pigment. I suggest having a formal consultation with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer.
Tattooed areas and microbladed eyebrows should not have microneedling done in those areas. Microneedling will affect the dispersion of the pigment and create an uneven look.
I would avoid treating tattoo or microblading sites with the microneedling device. Microneedling may alter the tattoo or microblading.
Microneedling is not usually done over any tattoos or microblading specially when RF or Vivace is used. If microneedling is performed with a pen it is fine to get very close to the brows avoiding the pigments.
I would not recommend microneedling over the microblading. Depending on the level of the pigment and the depth of the microneedling, it could lift the pigment or blur the details of the microblading. As long as the microneedling is not directly over the pigment, I see no problems. Best to you
