What is the best skin care routine post micro needling to get the fullest most through healing, a complete total recovery with no side effects and eliminating the risk of complications?
Answer: Post Microneedling Care Hello, Thank you for you question. After microneedling the skin is prone to infections. Good hygiene is paramount. Microneedling creates micro channels disrupting the skin barrier. Any harsh chemicals will increase inflammation. My recommendations are usually: avoidance of sun exposure, good skin hygiene, neutral skin cleansers and ceramide creams for healing. Stay well, Oxana Popescu MD

Answer: Microeedling post care After having Microneedling done it is best to use very gentle and hydrating products. Immediately after you do not want to use irritating products like retin-A or any acids like glycolic acid or salicylic acid. Most providers will provide you with recommendations or even a post care kit. Gentle cleansing, hydration and protection from the sun are very important so that you get your desired results.

Answer: Best skin care products to use post microneedling The answer depends on what you are most needing to have treated. For most people, I would recommend the ProPlus LifeLine Night Recovery Serum, ProPlus LifeLine Eye Firming Cream or NeoCutis Lumiere, and ProPlus LifeLine Intense Moisture Cream and Small Molecule Serum or NeoCutis MicroDay Cream. For the neck, NeoCutis MicroFirm for Neck and Decolletage. These products have proven, excellent human stem cell growth factors and small molecule technology to trigger the stem cells to produce more collagen, elastin, and healthy fibroblasts, as well as work intracellularly within fibroblasts to increase collagen and elastin synthesis. And these products have been found to work safely both during and immediately after microneedling.

Answer: Post microneedling care I recommend SkinCeuticals Epidermal Repair or Epionce Renewal Facial Cream after microneedling treatment. This may provide faster healing times and further skin tightening. Polysporin is a good over-the-counter substitute that may help prevent infection. You can't completely eliminate the risk of complication as allergic contact dermatitis can occur from numerous chemicals, and infection may occur though the risk is low. I inform my patients to avoid neosporin due to the higher risk of allergic contact dermatitis.
