Thank you for your question. We have many patients that come from out of town to have their surgery performed. You do need to have a responsible adult stay with you the first night after general anesthesia, but at our practice, we can provide you with a companion for the first night. It is best to ask the practice you are having surgery with what they prefer and what they can accommodate. This would be no issue at our practice. Best of luck!
Could you travel alone for rhinoplasty surgery? Most hospitals and surgery centers and accredited offices where rhinoplasty surgery is performed require that the patient be accompanied by a responsible adult when leaving the facility after surgery where anesthesia has been involved. Most surgeons currently perform rhinoplasty under general anesthesia of one type or another. So you would not be allowed to leave the surgery center alone. If you have no one to accompany you from the surgery center or hospital and cannot get anyone to travel with you, you can employ a nurse for the day to provide that function and assist you for the first day after your surgery.
Rhinoplasty is performed under general anesthesia, and you will require a responsible adult to take care of you Due to the hangover for the first day after the procedure itself while recovering from the anesthesia. In addition, expect to return for follow-up appointments.
