Shortest duration derma filler?

Question

I need to get treatment for facial balancing but I don’t feel comfortable with ha fillers because they retain water and last a long time or radiesse. Is there any filler ( eg collagen) that lasts very weeks or months? Money is not an issue. I rather play it safe.

Many people are turning away from artificial fillers and choosing natural alternatives. Collagen is not readily available anymore to use as a filler. The shortest lasting HA filler metabolizes over 6-12 months, but it may or may not be a good choice for the area you are wishing to treat.  When using fillers you can go as slowly as you'd like and build up to the result you are wanting.  If using an HA filler, the product can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if you are unhappy with the results.  I encourage you to begin by visiting with an experienced injector near you.  Review you concerns.  Look at before/after photos of the injector's work.  And be sure to ask questions.  I've included a video about fillers that I hope you find helpful.

The shortest duration soft tissue fillers commonly used in the U.S. are the HA fillers. They are very well studied. They typically have a lifespan of 6-12 months. If you decide you don't like the look of the HA filler, it can be dissolved with hyaluronidase, which is an enzyme that breaks down HA. You could also start by just having a small amount of HA filler injected, see how it looks over a period of time, and then add more as desired.
The other commonly used fillers last longer. Calcium hydroxylapatite filler (Radiesse) usually lasts over 12 months. Poly-L-lactic acid filler (Sculptra) can last up to 24 months.
