Will PicoSure really remove dense black outlines in less than 10 sessions?

Doctors are claiming dense black outlines can be removed in half the number of sessions with picosure. And this seems to be easiest to remove? From everything I have seen online, I believe my dense black lines need over 20 sessions! I wish you would should some real professional tattoos being removed and how much that takes, I cant see these 20 year old amateur tattoos for before and after pics. Will the picosure really remove dense black outlines professionally done in less than 10 sessions?

There is much written about Picosure and the technology is great but quie expensive.For black ink tattoos, nanosecond technology may be just as good with the down side of requiring additional treatment sessions. Picosure treatment as you noted, is much more expensive and all tattoo laser removal sessions are based primarily on size, # of sessions, ink density, # of colors and so on. Success depends on the experience of the provider, type of laser(s) used, fluence, spot size and the wavelengths used ... among others.

Successful tattoo removal depends on the color of the ink (black is usually the easiest), the quantity and depth of the ink, the wavelength of the laser light, pulse duration (picosecond vs nanosecond and variations),  power or fluence (watt/second/cm2), spot size of the laser hand piece (larger high powered spots sizes are more effective) and the shape of the beam of light (hat top, even power across the entire beam vs. Gaussian, more powerful in the center).  PicoSure has red light 755nm, very short pulses 550 to 750 picoseconds and a variable spot size.  The largest spots size is 8mm.  At this diameter the laser is not very powerful.  Most tattoos do better with a 4 or 6mm spot size.  The fluency is set and cannot be adjusted for a given spot size.  Quick and successful removal of tattoos also depends on the knowledge and skill of the doctor using the laser and choosing the correct settings.  This is true with all lasers.  Choice of the best color of light and other factors is also critical.  To be extremely successful, the best tattoo removal centers with have two or three different laser.
