I know vaser liposuction is not a weight loss solution. In saying that, if you are slightly pear-shaped and gain more weight in a certain area. Can vaser be effective? or if you gain more weight, is it still likely it will return to the same areas
Answer: NO The answer is no, when the fat cells are removed, they are permanently gone. Now having said that, if you gain a tremendous amount of weight after having any form of liposuction, you will eventually get fat repopulating into an area where you had lipo. Reason being is that the fat cells that are remaining can grow and increase in size! Ideally, if you lose a couple pounds after lipo and maintain that, you will have the best results!

Answer: Weight Gain after Vaser Liposuction Vaser or any kind of liposuction is effective depending on your body type, realistic goals and expectations. Results are generally permanent. If the patient gains a large amount of #weight in the future, the area of liposuction will also gain fat but to a lesser degree. With massive weight gain, #rippling may occur. However, patients should be aware that liposuction is a body-contouring procedure, not a weight loss option and does not increase metabolic rate as well. The standard diet and exercise strategy is still recommended for maintaining good #results of liposuction. I hope your concern was addressed. #RealSelf100

Answer: Fat cells removed with liposuction can't come back. VASERlipo® works by using targeted ultrasound energy to rupture the fat cells in the treatment area. After the fat cells are destroyed, they're then removed using suction. Once fat cells are eliminated, they cannot grow back. However, this does not mean you can't gain weight back in the future. The best way to maintain your lipo results long-term is by sticking to a healthy diet and exercise routine.

Answer: Return of fat after liposuction Hi and thanks for the question. In short, the answer is no. While its possible to " out eat lip0 " and gain weight in areas that have had previous lipoplasty, in most circumstances, the number of fat cells in the treated area is significantly reduced. Hence, any weight gain, which is a global event, meaning, you gain weight in all areas of your body in a uniform fashion, would be proportional. In order to gain weight in an area that was previously treated with lipo, you would have to gain a substantial amount of weight - and that, to me, would be your primary problem of concern.Best of luck,Glenn Vallecillos, MD, FACS, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Weight Gain after Vaser Liposuction Thanks for the question which everyone seems to wonder about. That is can fat return to areas that are treated with VASER. In the past we have seen two scenarios. Those patients who gain it all back and those that don't. The reasons are multiple but mostly it has to do with your daily diet and exercise levels. Genetically there are certain stubborn areas like the buttocks love handles and/or neck which are repositories for fat storage. the fact that fat remains viable in the areas from which it is removed means these remaining cells can become filled with more fat once some are removed around them. The ability to maintain a normal body weight will determine if this happens or not. Hope this is helpful.
