Will osteotomy incision bump, uneven columella scar, asymmetric swelling, retracted nostril and overall look improve? (Photo)

I am sorry you have had these complications.  First is to ensure the infection is completely resolved.  It may be that a small scar revision of your columella, an alar rim graft, and some additional dorsal hump resection will give you an excellent result. 

With such a complicated recovery and dual episodes of infection 'all bets are off' so to speak. The early results are 'great' if you include this very poor postoperative healing infection history. I recommend a waiting period of 1 year before considering revision surgery... 

Hello OliveTilly, Thank you for the question.  I am sorry to hear you sustained an infection with your rhinoplasty. Without examining you, physically feeling the tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history, and discussing the pros and cons of any further treatments it is difficult to be comprehensive.Addressing each issue one by one.1) The right nostril does appear to be retracted. 2) The asymmetrical swelling can be seen at this time point.  However given your history of pseudomonas, symptoms of tenderness and stinging, this could be an infection.3) The pea sized lumps under your osteotomy incisions are likely healing tissue from the access points and should soften.At this point I would return to your surgeon and bring up these points.   I think a good physical exam is called for.Good Luck, DR. It would be recommended to wait an entire year and make sure all of your swelling has dissipated to fully evaluate your needs and concerns before considering revision surgery. Hi Olive,Thanks for the question.This is common to many patients who under go extensive nose surgery like you accept for infection like abscess early on after surgery.What I can see from the pictures all these will improve in time.Six months from now you will have a better look.I wish you all the best.
