In my practice I specialize exclusively in cosmetic surgery of the face. I have a colleague who is a plastic surgeon who specializes in body cosmetic surgery. When a patient has face and body procedures, we operate together, generally at the same time. In less than two hours you could have all of your procedures.
Yes it is possible to do a Rhinoplasty, brow lift and breast lift in one surgery. However, you have to be in good health and you have to understand how the three operations may affect your post-op recovery and care.
I would not recommend having all 3 surgeries performed at the same time. Split 2 and 1. One even in good health needs to limited the amount of time that they are under general anesthesia. As I always suggest have a consultation with a Broad Certified Plastic Surgeon.
Although it may be possible to combine all 3 o f these procedures, I would not recommend having them all done in the same day as that is a very long time to be under general anesthesia. Instead, you could combine 2 of them, and have the third done at a later time.
Hello and thank you for your question regarding combining surgeries. Combining surgeries offers many advantages, the most important of which is reduced risk for the patient. Fewer surgeries and fewer anesthesia applications mean less risk of infection or complications. However, there are risks associated with surgeries that are too long. Those risks include complications from anesthesia and hypothermia, among others. In order to avoid those risks, you should limit your surgery to less than 6 hours, if possible. Schedule a consultation with a board certified facial plastic surgeon in your area to discuss their opinion about which two of the three procedures to have together. Good luck!- Elbert T. Cheng, MD
It is medically safe to have multiple procedures done at the same time as long as it is done correctly. The overall time of the surgery should be limited to 5 hours as the risk of hypothermia and blood clots increase after that time period. Also, "dirty" procedures should not be mixed with "sterile or Implant" procedures. The Rhinoplasty procedure should be done last, especially if using sterile implants. Ultimately, you should just pick a board certified reputable plastic surgeon and defer to there judgment and training. Good Luck
Thanks for your question. Yes is possible to combine Breast Lift with Rhinoplasty, and maybe brow lift. Even though, 3 procedures are too much for one surgical time, I would suggest to opt for Breast Lift and Rhinoplasty first.Combination procedures will depend on the general health conditions of the patient, and required high hemoglobin levels, 13 or up.Member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS)Member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS)
Safety should always be priority. Although having multiple procedures performed at a single operative setting is very common in our practice, i dont recommend you having the three mentioned procedures at the same time. Of the three, having areas and nose surgery is acceptable.Make sure you have a thorough consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who has extensive experience in this procedure. Check her/his experience, credentials, reviews, before and after photos, and have a quality consultation. There are many surgeons who do virtual consultations as well. It is preferred for your surgeon to be member of "American Society of Plastic Surgeons" and ideally member of "American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery". This means they have been evaluated by the society and recognized that the focus of their practice is high volume and quality, honest aesthetic plastic surgery and they adhere to a code of ethics.
There are 2 creases that we are concerned with in wider/ flat noses. The alar crease, which is what I think you are referring to, can be changed if the lower cartilage dissection is carried far laterally. This is usually not needed. Even if the dissection is far lateral, the crease rarely ch...
Hello! The treatment of a platyrrhine/ African-American nose is well discussed in facial plastic circles in America. The trick is to find a SURGEON with experience, not a country. Personally I would never willingly travel to a region with poor government oversight and regulations. Some of the ...
