Has my dr chosen the wrong implants for what I was after? (Photo)

Hi There.  Thanks for the questions and photos.  Your breasts look great at 7 weeks and will continue to look better as the months pass.  My concern with having 'side boobs' is that they can interfere with your day to day activities and you might regret if the implant is too wide, in the future!  Best wishes to you! 

Far more important than the technique is the skill and experience of your plastic surgeon. Choose your surgeon rather than the technique and let them explain why one technique may be better than another.  See the below link on some suggestions on finding the most qualified Plastic Surgeon for you.  Always insist on a board certified plastic surgeon.

From the photographs provided it looks as though you've gotten a pretty good result. If the breasts remain soft and natural I would leave well enough alone.

I would agree with your plastic surgeon and wait 6 months for the breast implants to settle.  However, it looks like a nice result so far!

Certainly the appearance of your implants will continue to change with more time. It makes sense to allow more time to see what your final result will be. I like to use 3D vectra imaging before surgery to match patient expectations with outcomes.

Hi Girlygirl69I think you have a good result. If this is not matching your expectations, then wait out a few months. All implants take a while to settle, or to push on the remaining skin/breast to create the final shape.Good LuckDr Gavin Sandercoe

I am sorry to hear about your concerns after breast augmentation surgery. In my humble opinion, your plastic surgeon has done a very nice job for you. It may be helpful to you to know that many patients experience significant emotional "ups and downs” during the first few months after breast augmentation surgery, only to be very happy with the longer-term outcome of the procedure performed.  I would suggest ongoing patience and time; hopefully you will be very pleased with the longer-term outcome of the procedure performed.

I see a beautiful and symmetric result which any plastic surgeon would be proud of. You will eventually have more fullness in the lower pole as it settles. It actually takes a full year. Based on your chest size it appears he was right on target. While every curve of the current shape may not be exactly what you envisioned , keep in mind that the technogy of implants only provides a surgeon with a limited amount of possibilities and we have to choose not only based on what you want but also based on how your anatomy enters into the equation. It looks like you went to a real pro. I would be happy , wait on the final shape, and be thankful you had no complications. . 

The results shown on your photographs is quite excellent.  Understand that it can take 3-4 months for your implants to reach their final position.  Based on your appearance now I think once the implants have settled you will be happy.  Of course express your concerns to your plastic surgeon.
