Nerve regeneration after breast augmentation. What is the likelihood of a full recovery? How long will it take?

I have read several answers about breast/nipple sensation being temporarily or permanently disrupted on real self. I had 300cc saline unders through tuba 5 weeks ago. The bottom right breast and bottom part of right areola have lost sensation,I can get the right nipple erect from touch, but it doesn't respond to cold, what is the likelihood of a full recovery based on what I describe and if it will return over several months do I slowly see and feel it improve or does it just improve suddenly?

As nerves regenerate, you may feel stinging, tingling or burning, and it is a gradual process, sometimes taking a year or more.

There are very few sensory nerves cut during a breast augmentation. Many nerves are stretched which can stop their activity until swelling subsided. Full sensory recovery is almost guaranteed.

The fact that your nipple responds to touch may indicate that your nerve fibers are intact.  Understand however nerve regeneration can take as long as 2 years depending on where the nerve was injured.  You're very early in recovery.  If you begin to experience sharp electric-like pains that is a good sign that regeneration is taking place Otherwise only time will tell.  The responsivity of the nipple however is a good sign.
