In my opinion, there would be no harm in lifting your arms anytime after a rhinoplasty. Your surgeon most likely asked you to wear button up clothing so that you would not have to remove clothing that could rub against your nose in the process of pulling the clothing over your head. You may want to contact your surgeon to clarify your postoperative instructions.
Hi Zhanaa,I am not quite sure if you got the explanation clearly but generally, we only recommend button up shirts after rhinoplasty to avoid unintentionally or accidentally hitting your nose when changing crew or v-necked shirts. It usually has nothing to do with arm lifting.However, if you used your rib cartilage for nose reconstruction, then it may be a possible explanation for why you should avoid raising your arms, as it may be uncomfortable.

Hi @queenofwands! I usually recommend 6 weeks of no contact sports since it takes about 6 weeks for the nasal bones to heal. You should be good after 3 months! Best of luck.
