Hello , I wish to obtain advice on which laser is best to treat facial redness and obvious facial veins . I think I may have a mild form of Rosacea . I have done a little bit of reading and I'm particularly interested in hearing any drs opinions on Perfecta laser vs the Q-switch laser for the treatment of facial redness . Furthermore , if anyone can suggest a better alternative , I would be so appreciative . Thank you very much in advance . I can't wait to finally get rid of this persistent redness !
Answer: Improving Rosacea with Clear + Brilliant, peels and VBeam/Yellow lasers, Botox/Xeomin/Dysport I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. For rosacea, I like a combination approach, using lasers (ProYellow, Pulsed Dye/Vbeam, Excel V), peels and botox to the cheeks. This makes dramatic changes in color and symptoms. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: The Vbeam laser is great for treating rosacea Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Best Treatments for Rosacea / Facial Redness Great question! It's a little hard to say without seeing pictures, or better yet you in person. The best treatment for most skin types with rosacea is actually not a true laser, but rather BBL (Broad Band Light). This does an outstanding job with reds and even visible vessels and also addresses brown spots / sun damage and has been proven to slow skin aging, so a real multitasking treatment, too!

Answer: Facial vessels and redness treatments I usually start by treating the noticeable vessels around the nose, on the cheek and on the chin with a pinpoint vascular laser - my favorite is my Dornier 940nm, but 532nm and 1064nm lasers can also work. I use my Syris polarized googles to best visualize these vessels. After 1 or 2 sessions with this laser, I will then treat any diffuse redness with our IPL cynosure Icon or BBL device. These treatments usually work well, with both me and the patient happy.
