Redness with tri-lema is normal? I have 2 days using it
Answer: Redness with TriLuma - What's normal and what's not Hello,This is not a normal or expected reaction to TriLuma. TriLuma retinoid within the product which may be what you are reacting so strongly to. We suggest that you contact the physician that prescribed this to have them address the issue and calm down your skin. If you were prescribed this for upper lip brown discoloration, you may want to consider our product of hydroquinone. The difference is - we do not add retinoids to our compounded product. This makes it far more tolerable for patients and the cost is generally less than TriLuma and, in our opinion, much more effective. Please see the link below. Please also practice very gentle skin care to this area, stop the TriLuma and contact your MD, diligent sunscreen use.

Answer: See a Cosmetic Dermatologist for after care--Melasma treatment--Clear + Brilliant, microneedling/prp, Aerolase, peels I suggest seeing a cosmetic dermatologist for wound care and potentially a steroid to decrease the swelling/redness more rapidly. Melasma needs a combination approach to get the best improvement and will need a series of treatments. In our practice, we combine Clear + brilliant, peels, microneedling/PRP, aerolase, and sometimes erbium laser (coollaser) to get the best results. Melasma will need life-long maintenance. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: No, abnormal reaction. This is not normal. Stop the TriLuma, see a dermatologist for a strong steroid ointment for 4 days. This irritation needs to be addressed ASAP or PIH will worsen the melasma. See a dermatologist as they can titrate a dose of HQ and find out which is the allergen or irritant in the product. All the best, Dr Davin Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
