Hi I am considering getting my ears pinned back and a lower face/ neck lift. In terms of scar management is it best to have these procedures done separatly or together. If they should be done separately, which operation should come first, in terms of optimal scar management and ease of access to the area?

Answer: Ear pinning and lower facelift done together.
From the limited photos, and angle of the photos provided there is little difference between the two and it appears to be normal. It takes several months to be able to access the final outcome of your facelift.
Tongue sensation comes from the lingual nerve, which is located underneath the outer aspect of the floor of your mouth and deep the mandible. Injuring this nerve during a lower facelift would be very unlikely and difficult. I would contact a local otolaryngologist (ENT surgeon)...
