Donor area is very itchy. Is it normal?

I have undergone FUE with 2900 grafts just one month back. Everything went alright and hairs shed all within 3-4 weeks. So far all looking good. But my donor area just started very itchy now from last week. And I do like to scratch when it feels very itchy and sometime very strong that can't resist. Is it normal to have donor very itchy after FUE in 4th week? and should I respond or not?

If you are having issues after surgery, especially with "itchy scalp" you should contact your doctor.  You may not be washing your scalp well enough.

Mild to moderate discomfort/itchiness is fairly common following a transplant. By now you should be noticing it beginning to subside, but if it's remaining constant or getting worse go see your doctor. As long as it's not accompanied by burning, redness, swelling, etc. it's likely not anything serious.

Post-transplant the donor area itchiness is reasonably normal. However, it is important to make sure that there is no infection. So, may be you would like to consult the Plastic Surgeon to check the donor area and ensure there is no infection.
