Is DHI method better than FUE method for hairline?

 DHI method can be preferred for more of a dense look by implanting 70 grafts/cm2  with max 2500 grafts for an ideal hairline fix. Both procedures will not leave a scar. PRP treatment is always good for hair growth after HT.

FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) is the method of hair transplant and DHI (Direct Hair Implantation) is a technique of implantation and it is related to FUE method.
DHI (Direct Hair Implantation) is a modification of the implantation process within the FUE Hair restoration as the extraction of the grafts remains the same process.
DHI is introduced by the name of FUE Method with CHOI PEN.
The Surgeon will decide for the good technique to perform the hair transplant for each patient.

The term DHI, which stands for Direct Hair Implantation, is another name for the sharp implantation technique. Its distinctive feature is that it employs hair implanter pens that create the recipient sites and simultaneously transplant the grafts, instead of creating premade incisions. The use of sharp implanters is not a hair transplant method, but rather a placing technique.

As per the information available offhand, DHI is just of the ways of performing FUE done where excision is done with manual forceps and implantation being done with implanters.

Hair grafting/ transplant can be an option for forehead reduction and correcting  asymmetry on your frontal hair line/forelock.I advice you have a FUE; you would get the desired hairline in just one sesssion of dense packing hair transplant.Technique is not important to getting a best result but experience of hair expert is crucial.During the placement of follicular units there will be a mixture of single, double and a few triple grafts, which help to create the soft look of a natural hairline. For the first few lines always go for single grafts, later doubles Triples and others.So that a smooth transition will be there giving undetectable hair transplants.

DHI process is just FUE process along with the use of implanters; these are implanters which are otherwise also known as CHOI Implanters. These implanters are easily available in the market. The course of extraction of hair remains the same. The implantation differs in FUE method, the implantation is done manually. We first make small holes; small slits which are very small and do not leave any scars at all and then the hair are placed inside all the slits which have been made. In DHI process the implanter is used and the hair roots are fitted into the implanter and they are injected into the recipient zone. To say that DHI leaves smaller scars would not be correct. In fact, in my opinion the density achieved in FUE is far more than the density that is achieved through the DHI process. Healing is instantaneous in both the methods. So, in summary the difference between the two methods is the use of the implanter in the DHI process other than that there is absolutely no difference between the two techniques.
