Would I create damage if I scrunch my nose while I still have my plaster on?

A week ago I underwent rhinoplasty, and recently my nose has been really itchy and I haven't removed the cast yet so I can't itch so instead to seek relief I scrunch my nose. Does that create damage to the end result ?

The plaster is there to control swelling and control the skin position while it heals. It would be best if you can control motion. If the itching is really a problem I would let your suregon know just in case something is going on under the cast, like a rash. I hope this helpsGood LuckStephen M. I would avoid as little movement of the nose as possible during the immediate postoperative period.  It is unlikely that you are going to cause damage, however, allowing the skin to heal to the underlying cartilage and bone is part of the healing process so you don't want to do anything to hinder this process. It is extremely important that you follow up with your rhinoplasty surgeon throughout the healing process.
