I am currently 3 weeks post mastopexy augmentation. LB received 400cc rounds, RB 450cc as I was already slightly smaller on that side. Does this extent of asymmetry look typical/ok at this stage in time? I’ve been wearing a breast band for 2 weeks with little to no improvement to my RB, only the LB one dropping significantly. Next apt with PS isn’t for another 3 weeks and I am becoming concerned by the lack of improvement to my RB. I’ve included pre op photo. Note photos are reversed.

Answer: BA results Dear LVM9, I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast augmentation surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues around the implants are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides and the implants drop to their final position, you will be able to see the final result of your breast augmentation surgery. Answer: Breast Asymmetry Thanks for your question LVM9! It is very normal for one breast to recover a little faster than the other and at just 3 weeks post op you are still in the very early stages of the healing process. Swelling can take at least 3 months to settle down and for your breasts to settle into their final position, therefore it is important for you to allow your body time to recover and heal. Always keep open communication and discuss any of your concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon though. If you are still concerned after 3 months with any asymmetry definitely do not hesitate to discuss this further with them. All the best! Thanks again! :)
