There is no correlation between getting breast augmentation and Kybella treatment. You definitely can get Kybella treatment post breast augmentation.
Help, yes, it is safe for you to have Kybella injections to treat the turkey neck / chin after breast surgery. The treatment is localized to the area under the chin and should not have any negative implications on your recent breast surgery.
Dear Trenadee,Kybella typically takes 3 to 5 treatments to work. This is why I've stopped carrying Kybella in my office. I recommend neck liposuction more often then any injectable procedure for the neck now. It provides superior results gives me more control over the area than any injectable. It also costs about the same as what you paid for your first kybella session. The liposuction can be done under local while awake in the office and recovery is about the same as kybella.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
In our practice, we do not recommend Kybella for a variety of reasons. Liposuction offers a one time procedure to reduce the amount of fat deposits in the neck. For many examples, please see the video and the link below
Hi. It is completely safe to have either/both Kybella or Lipodissolve three weeks post breast augmentation. Kybella is usually placed in the fatty tissue underneath the chin or around the armpit fat. Lipodissolve is typically used in small pockets of fat on other areas of the body. Either modality will require multiple treatments to achieve best results. You should have an in person consultation with a provider you trust to assess if you are a good candiate for either of these treatments.
Hello Trenadee,It is safe to get Kybella after breast augmentation. Kybella is a series of injections below the chin to help with the fat that can deposit there. It would have no bearing on your augmentation. However, you might consider liposuction as that can provide a superior result in less time. It is usually performed under local anesthetic in the office. I hope this helps and good luck.
Thanks for your question. If you are already getting around well post-op, then it would be ok to treat your submental fat.We have discontinued Kybella treatments in our practice for melting submental fat. If you want a non-surgical approach, the FDA recently approved the SculpSure laser for treating submental fat (double chins). It is a quick 25 minute, completely non-invasive treatment. In the FDA study, the participants had 100% satisfaction after 1 or 2 treatments. In the Kybella FDA studies, there is high satisfaction after an average of 6 treatments. I did SculpSure recently and it was only mildly uncomfortable. I had no noticeable swelling. With Kybella, you will have noticeable swelling for 1-4 weeks. The treatment cost for 1 SculpSure Submental is less than the average cost of 1 Kybella treatment. Before you consider CoolScupt, try holding an ice pack under your chin for 4 minutes. Now think about doing it for an hour. You have youth on your side. I'm not sure that you will need any skin tightenng treatments after SculpSure Submental. Before considering Ultherapy, read the reviews about the high level of pain. Most patients don't return for their second treatment. Best of luck.
It is perfectly fine to have Kybella in the chin area after a breast augmentation. You will have about 3 days of moderate swelling followed by a few weeks of less swelling. It can take 1-2 vials, 2-4 sessions to get desired results. There is a burning sensation for 15-30 minutes after injections.
Thank you for your question. If you are referring to Kybella of the chin, then yes, it is safe to proceed despite recently having breast augmentation surgery.
