Internal Breast Lift: Are the materials in The Refine Internal Breast Suspension System potentially harmful to my body?

Hi,Polyester sutures and polypropylene materials are routinely used in surgery. The only harm would be infection if contamination takes place during placement. I routinely remove breast implants and perform The Ultimate Breast Lift (TM) method to provide upper pole fullness without breast implants and without the dreaded vertical scar. Breast tissue is reshaped and re-positioned high on the chest wall and anchored to the underlying chest muscle for long term results. You may want to look into it. A breast lift after breast implant removal can be performed without the need of an internal support system, as this is replacing one foreign body with another. There are added risks, including infection and likely support failure without any proven advantages of this system. A properly performed mastopexy with breast tissue shaping as well as soft tissue support will provide a natural, foreign body-free and long lasting result.

Thanks for your question. The materials you mentioned are those we use and I have not had issues with them. I have not used the device that you are referring to. The biggest issue would be the chance of breakage of the material and then loss of the lift and resulting asymmetry. Best of Luck!
