6 weeks post-op, hole at incision after Breast Augmentation with fluid. Should I be concerned? (photo)

It is so hard to advise just from the picture.  It could simply be a suture spitting out.  I am glad you are seeing your plastic surgeon, good luck.  

It's hard to tell exactly what is going on by your story and picture. Best bet is to have your surgeon examine you and advise accordingly. This may be something superficial or may be deeper heading down toward the implant which could jeopardize the implant.

Thank you for your question and photograph.  Your description and photograph indicate that you may have a "spitting stitch" where a suture or knot of a suture is poking through to the surface.  This is a normal occurrence and very likely to heal just fine.  My advice is to seek the advice of your plastic surgeon to rule out any infection.  Best of luck.

It is difficult to tell from the photo. I think it is very important to follow up with your surgeon ASAP. You should already be healed at 6 weeks post op. If you have drainage ask your surgeon to culture the opening to rule out an infection. Keep the incision clean and dry until your appointment. 

You have impending implant related issues from non healing wound. Call your doctor today and see him now.

You need to be checked ASAP.  This may be just a simple fluid collection, or it could be infection.  The wound needs to be checked.  Please make an appointment with your surgeon asap.Alex Kim, MD

The hole and drainage will need an exam an treatment to try to save an implant exposure.Let your doctor know about this development.

Thank your for your question. Sorry that you have this experience. Unfortunately, this drainage and small hole could be worrisome. You should see your surgeon as soon as possible. There is a concern that the incision communicates with the implant pocket or that you have a seroma (fluid around the implant).

You need to see your plastic surgeon as soon as possible.  Your symptoms could mean that the implant pocket is communicating with the hole.  I hope you can get this attended to soon.  Best wishes.
