Can you use Emsculpt if you have metal tooth implants or gold teeth?

Thank you for your question! Yes it is safe! Although metal implants are considered a contraindication for Emsculpt, tooth implants are far enough away from the paddles to be safe to treat. If the metal implants were directly in the area being treated, it would be unsafe.

Hi, thanks for your interesting question.  The general company line is that Emsculpt should not be performed when there are metal implants in the body.  The risk is that they will move and become displaced.  However, most physicians will exercise medical judgement regarding true risks and benefits of this scenario.  Emsculpt EM energy is emitted directly from the paddles and will only reach as far down as 7 cm under the skin.  So if you are getting an abdominal or gluteal treatment, the EM energy is far enough from your mouth and teeth that there would not be any issues.

Yes, you can have Emsculpt if you have metal tooth implants or gold teeth. It should be noted that you cannot have the Emsculpt series of treatments if you have metal in the treatment area (IUD, belly button ring, etc...). As always, please talk to a certified health care provider to see if you are an ideal candidate for Emsculpt or any other treatment.

Therefore, you may be able to do the treatment with the metal tooth implant and/or gold teeth.
