Thank you for your question! Yes it is safe! Although metal implants are considered a contraindication for Emsculpt, tooth implants are far enough away from the paddles to be safe to treat. If the metal implants were directly in the area being treated, it would be unsafe.
Hi Goobersmack in Austin,It is safe to have Emsculpt with metal tooth implants and/or gold teeth as long as they are greater than 7 centimeters from the treatment paddles. Good luck and be well.Dr. PEncino, CA
Hi, thanks for your interesting question. The general company line is that Emsculpt should not be performed when there are metal implants in the body. The risk is that they will move and become displaced. However, most physicians will exercise medical judgement regarding true risks and benefits of this scenario. Emsculpt EM energy is emitted directly from the paddles and will only reach as far down as 7 cm under the skin. So if you are getting an abdominal or gluteal treatment, the EM energy is far enough from your mouth and teeth that there would not be any issues.
Hi,Metal teeth implants are not a contraindication to Emsculpt since they are far away from the Emsculpt paddles.Warmly,Dr. Liu
Thanks for your question. Absolutely, that would be fine. The only thing we have to avoid is metal objects directly in the area being treated. Give it a try, you will love it! Best wishes
Yes, you can have Emsculpt if you have metal tooth implants or gold teeth. It should be noted that you cannot have the Emsculpt series of treatments if you have metal in the treatment area (IUD, belly button ring, etc...). As always, please talk to a certified health care provider to see if you are an ideal candidate for Emsculpt or any other treatment.
Hello, thank you for your question. Although metal implants are considered a contraindication for the Emsculpt treatment, certain offices have been treating patients off-label. Therefore, you may be able to do the treatment with the metal tooth implant and/or gold teeth. Please seek a certified health care provider to determine if you are an ideal candidate for the treatment.
Emsculpt is a great procedure that everyone can benefit from! Emsculpt of course is designed more to build muscle, but studies show a element of fat loss as well. The possible contraindications to Emsculpt treatment are metal or electronic implants in the treatment area, cardiac pacemakers, ...
If you are cleared for activities, you are cleared for activities. If metal staples were used or there is any metal residual in the area, this would be a contraindication. We would be inclined to say 6-8 weeks post-surgery would be best.
Thank you for your question. You are correct in that both devices stimulate muscle. The similarities however end there. The Flex belt is an EMS device and offers a very localized electric muscular stimulation with about 150 contractions a session. The intensity can be...
