Dear aynickmorin, dropping of implants is part of the healing process and this occurs after the tissues surrounding the implants slowly relax, allowing the implants to settle into their final position. It can take about four to six months for the implant to drop down to their final position.I understand that you are worried about your implants are not dropping as expected. However, you are still in the early phase of the recovery period. Please do allow some time for the healing process to occur. If after six months, you are not satisfied with the appearance of your breast, you can visit your plastic surgeon and discuss your concernsDaniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Hi. Looking at your pic it is difficult to comment on capsular contracture. Photos with other views will be more helpful.Best is to visit your surgeon and get examined. Hope i have cleared your query. Thanks for posting your query. All the best.
Good evening,It all depends- yes they do look a little round and "stuck on" but that may be from the profile and size you chose- so that would be helpful to know. Also on exam are they firm and don't move around a lot? That info would be helpful as well to guide you in the right direction. Some patients like that look and request it, while others prefer a more natural shape, so it's really about what you are comfortable with and what you want- it can be done!
Your implants have settled, but you chose a size that is too large for your frame and tissue and now have the tight ball look. Smaller implants would look more natural and move more like real breasts.
Greetings,Your breast appearance today is directly related to how your breasts appeared before enlargement surgery. Were they 'high' pre-op? Your surgeon can discuss whether you have a capsular contracture or high implants based upon re-examination. The leaner a patient is before implants are placed, the more visible the edges (and the implant itself) are after surgery.Best Regards,
