Hot tub use after fat transfer to upper arms?

I had fat transferred to both upper arms on 03/04/17. Incisions have already closed. How long before I can use hot tub? Is it possible for hot water to damage transferred fat cells?

I recommend following up with your Doctor about their recommendations for using a hot tub after fat grafting. I make my patient wait 4 weeks after a fat grafting treatment to go in a pool or hot tub. I also recommend prp and sculptra after fat transfer to improve final results. Best, Dr. Emer.

This is a great question!  As your fat cells are healing and adjusting to their normal environment, it is wise to not introduce changes in the environment which can be stressful.  Thus, you've already waited 17 days and I would wait another 2 weeks before getting in a hot tub.  Best of luck!

I tell my patients to avoid hot tubs for about 4 weeks because the incisions really need to be sealed. Best to ask your surgeon.
