When to resume yoga after a fat transfer?

I generally have my patients wait 3 weeks until they exercise. This will not only allow the swelling to resolve and fat grafts to take, but also allow the donor sites to heal. Although probably not a lot of fat was taken from your thighs, you had liposuction in that area. This can retain fluid and you can get a seroma. But of course, go by what your surgeon recommends.

In my practice I let my patients continue with exercise after 3 weeks post injection. I suggest speaking with your physician who performed the fat transfer. I also recommend prp injections to help maintain results. Best, Dr. Emer

So anything that bumps your face will affect the fats viability. Exercise per se won't do this but landing on the transferred fat will. Swimming would be ok and gentle exercise like yoga is probably OK now but after investing so much in a procedure, most urges would tell you to take it easy until there is NO chance of an effect. You need to consult your surgeon for his/her opinion. In my practice I feel patient can return to exercising within a few days. I've never seen it affect the survival of the grafts. However, vigorous exercise will cause swelling to persist. 

Give it around two weeks.  It takes 3-5 days for the fat to adhere to the surrounding tissue.  It takes approximately 7 days for new blood supply to make it to the fat.  It takes another week for that blood supply to be stable.  Don't tear your newly formed blood supply to the fat.Chase Lay MD

You are best to ask your surgeon. I allow my patients to go back to activities within about 3-4 weeks if this is an isolated procedure.

Best to ask your injecting MD that question. In my price I prefer at least 6 weeks no downward dogs..

The usual advice is to wait at least 6-8 weeks before strenuous exercise is gradually introduced into your daily routine.  Nonetheless, each surgeon has a different idea and thus you must consult your doctor and ask for his go signal first.
